Mary E Spearing

Memorial services are planned for Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at X-Prairie Methodist Church near Macon, MS for Mrs. Mary E Spearing, 87, of Brooksville, MS. Mrs. Spearing passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Noxubee County Nursing Home in Macon, MS.

Mrs. Spearing was born on February 6, 1926 to the late Fred R. and Isabelle Brown Long in Belvedere, Illinois. She graduated from Belvedere High School and attended college in Bloomington, , Ill. In 1960, she and her husband, Earl Spearing, moved to Noxubee County, Ms to pursue farming interests. Mrs. Spearing was an active member of Boone County and Noxubee County Extension Service for sixty years. She worked as an outreach coordinator at Noxubee Co Extension Service. She was a member of Ageless Wonders. She attended X-Prairie Methodist Church. She enjoyed visiting her neighbors.

Her survivors include 3 daughters: Linda Spearing of Columbus, Ms; Marcia Weber of Atlanta, GA; and Pamela Lawler of Charlotte, N.C., a son, Dean Spearing of Macon, MS, one grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.
