Marie Cotton Abrams

Mrs. Marie Cotton Abrams, 80, of Macon, MS passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Her funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Macon, MS at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Lynn Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday thirty minutes prior to the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 510, Macon, MS 39341. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon, Ms is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Abrams was born on February 25, 1933 in Winston County, Miss. to the late Jimmy Jack and Louise McCreight Cotton. She graduated from Shuqualak High School. She was married to Willie Joe Abrams who precedes her in death. She retired from United Technologies after twenty years service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Macon, MS. She enjoyed flower gardening , playing dominos and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She is also predeceased by two daughters, Betty Jo Mason and Janet Marie Abrams, two sisters and 3 brothers.

Mrs. Abrams is survived by a son in law, Tony Don Mason, granddaughter, Kayla Mason Fowler and husband Kevin and grandson, Stephen Paul Mason all of Clinton, MS.; three sisters, Betty Jean Cooper of Columbus,, MS, Dorothy Harvey and Alice Slawson both of Macon, Ms.
