Agnes Warren Sciple

May 11, 1930 — February 21, 2013

Mrs. Agnes Warren Sciple, 81, of Selmer, TN passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at McNairy Health Care Center in Selmer.

She was a native of Kemper Co. MS, born to the late James and Jessie Coker Warren. She was longtime resident of Noxubee and Kemper Counties in Mississippi and had moved to Selmer in 2003 to be near her son when her health declined.
Mrs. Agnes was educated in the Kemper County public schools. She worked at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon MS in the housekeeping department for many years and later worked at the Tender Years childcare program of First Baptist Church in Macon. After retirement, she operated a small childcare operation at her home in Macon. She had also lived in Dekalb MS for a number of years and had kept children there as well. As is obvious, her gift was caring for children and she was much loved by all the children she came in contact with over the years. She loved being with her own family and also enjoyed flower gardening when she had the time.

Mrs. Agnes is survived by her son: James Sciple (Sharon) of Selmer, TN and two beloved grandchildren: Sheila Turner of Daphne, AL and Chad Sciple of Meridian, MS. and her four grandchildren: Michael, Anna, Zack, and Luke. Also left to mourn her passing are two sisters: Caroline Faye Edwards of Meridian, MS and Ruth Erhardt of California. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Mrs. Agnes Warren Sciple’s funeral service will be held from Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 a.m Monday, February 25 immediately following the visitation for family and friends at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon from 10:00 until 11:30 A.M. There will be no graveside services. This is due to predicted weather conditions on Monday. Bro. Donald Wayne Gentry will officiate at the service. The family requests all memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital Tribute Program 501 St Jude Place Memphis TN 38105-1942
