Mrs. Sadie Louise Hutcherson, 88, passed away Wednesday October 10, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 from her much beloved Calvary Baptist Church in Macon. The service will begin at 2:30 P.M. with Bro. Bill Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Soule Chapel Cemetery in Noxubee County. A period of visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 until 2:30 P.M. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund or Choir Fund, 105 Dent Street, Macon, MS 39341. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Louise was born in Noxubee County near Brooksville, MS on July 10, 1924 and was the last surviving child born to the union of the late Samuel Leonard and Lenora Bell Upton Williams. She married William Odell Hutcherson on March 1, 1940 and their marriage was blessed with four children. Mrs. Louise came to a saving knowledge of Jesus at her home on July 30, 1957 and joined Calvary Baptist Church in Macon the next month. She was a faithful member and tireless worker at Calvary for the remainder of her life, being involved there in teaching Sunday School, working in the nursery, working on the hostess committee and building and grounds committee, and by singing in the choir. Mrs. Louise worked at Ferris Dry Goods and at the T.W.L. Store for many years. She was a very friendly person who always had a smile on her face. She loved her church family and being with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard and on the church grounds and flower beds. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and by 8 sisters and 9 brothers.
Mrs. Louise is survived by her daughter: Janice (Rod) Bryan of Aberdeen, MS and by her three sons: James (Carol) Hutcherson of Mustang, OK; and by Richard (Paulette) of Columbus, MS and Jimmy (Wanda) Hutcherson, both of Columbus, MS. Also left to mourn her passing are 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren as well her special friends: Jack and Sherry Harrellson.
