Judy Johnson Estes

Macon, MS – Judy Johnson Estes, 65, passed away on July 30, 2012, at her home.
Services are Thursday, August 2, at 10:00am at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, August 1, from 6-8pm at Cockrell Funeral Home. You may sign online guest book at www.cockrellfuneralhome.com

Mrs. Estes was born Sept, 13, 1946 to the late Troy and Alma Alston Johnson in Cullman, AL. She graduated in 1964 from Cullman High School and married Ralph Estes, the love of her life, on November 23, 1964.

She attended Way of the Cross Chapel in Brooksville, MS. and worked as office manager at Dudley E. Dickerson DMD in Macon up until her illness. She was a devoted member of the Noxubee 2221 Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy which she served in many capacities including president. She also served on the Division (State) level both as Chaplain and Recorder of Military Crosses and Service Awards and as chairman for several committees.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Estes of Macon, MS; One daughter, Delisa Lee of Brooksville, MS; Five sons, David Estes of Macon, MS; Dexter Estes of Lyndhurst, VA; Daniel Estes of Washington, DC; Damon Estes of Macon, MS; Destin Estes of Bakersfield, CA. One sister, Janice Scott of Wylie, TX; Seven grand-children and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Jerrill Bontrager, Lavern Bontrager, Jeff Graber, Galen Mast, Marlow Mast and Mark Schrock.
