Meridian, MS

Mr. Lynn Hill, 78, of Meridian, MS., died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Anderson’s Hospital in Meridian, MS.
Graveside services are planned for Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near
Macon, MS. with Bro John Carlisto officiating. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hill was born in Noxubee County on June 25, 1933 to the late Bennie Francis and Winnie Davis Permenter Hill. He served a tour of duty in Japan with the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the UN Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a part of the 3585th Air Police Squadron Based at Gary Air Force Base near San Marcos, TX. He was employed in aircraft supply at Naval Air Station Meridian and retired from there in 1987, having served a total of 35 years of combined Military and U.S. Civil Service.

He is survived by daughter Sonja Hill Rowell, husband Chuck; Sons: Mark Hill; Timothy Hill, Wife Leigh; David Hill, wife Angie; grandchildren, Tristan Rowell, wife Auburn; Kylie Rowell; Adrienne Hill; Brooklyn Hill; Cody Hill; Dalton Hill; and Savanna Hill; great- grandchild; Crimson Renee Rowell; 2 sisters: Helen “Dee” Wright of Mobile, AL and Evelyn “Mutt” McArthur of Macon; and many nieces and nephews.
