Marion “Bubba” Moore, 85, of Macon, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon, MS. Funeral services will be held at Cockrell Funeral Home on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Moore Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Moore was born February 12, 1927 in Noxubee County to the late Bede Rush Moore and Cora Thomas Sloan Moore. He attended Locust Grove School. He moved to Goshen, Indiana in 1950 where he worked for Mogul Rubber for 20 years. He remained in Goshen until 1972 when he moved back to Mississippi. He worked as a factory worker for most of his working life and also worked as a security guard for Deerbrook Company for many years. He was a member of McLeod Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His hobbies included fishing and hunting.

Mr. Moore’s survivors include his two daughters: Libby Matherson of The Villages, FLA. and Patricia Moore of Floral City, FLA; 2 sons:Bill Moore-Goshen, Ind., and Randy Moore of Goshen, IND.; two sisters: Margaret Ann Rosser of Goshen, IND. and Mary Lois Combs of West Point, MS; a brother: William J. “Fat” Moore of Brooksville, MS and a number of grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son Bobby Eugene Moore, 2 sisters: Doris & Teresa and also by 5 brothers, Rush, Fred, Charlie Ray, Buddy “Morris”, and B. H. Moore.
