Mrs. Judy King Autry, 70, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 3, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Her funeral service will be held at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 5, at 11:00 A.M. Bro. Greg Duncan will officiate at the services. There will be no graveside service. The family will remain at the funeral home after the service for a brief time of visitation with family and friends. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is entrusted with the services. Any memorials may be made to Palmer Home P.O. Box 746 Columbus, MS 39701.

Mrs. Autry was born to Beulah Beatrice Morris King of Brooksville and the late M. M. (Bud) King on December 2, 1941 in Columbus, MS. She grew up in the Cliftonville area of Noxubee County, MS and graduated from Brooksville High School. She was also a graduate of Draughn’s Business College. She worked at the Macon Stockyard and also for the Internal Revenue Service in Memphis, TN. She was the longtime manager of Bigbee Valley Store and was a member of New Bethel Church. She loved to cook and was famous for her peanut brittle, rolls, cheese straws, and ribs.

She is survived by her son: Jim Jernigan (Lisa) and two grandsons: A.J. and Neal Jernigan, all of Macon, MS
Also surviving Mrs. Autry are two sisters: Connie King Wiseman (Jim) of Casper, Wyo. and Hilda King LeGoff (Robert) of Corinth, MS and also by two brothers: Raymond King (Francis) of Naples, Fla. and by John King (Lisa) of Brooksville, MS.
