Mrs. Mary Catherine Sullivan Hill, 88, of Magnolia, TX. was called home on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Tomball Regional Hospital in Tomball, TX. Mrs. Hill, the daughter of the late Andrew Sullivan and Edna Cline Sullivan, had lived in Texas for the past 16 years. She was a native and longtime resident of Macon, MS and graduated from Macon High School. While in Macon she completed secretarial courses under the tutelage of a local teacher and then worked for Featherston Finance Co. in Macon for over 21 years. She also worked part-time at the Noxubee County Extension Office. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Macon. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Theodore H. Hill.
Mrs. Hill is survived by 2 sons: David L. Hill (Annette) of Magnolia, TX and Theodore H. Hill, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by her brother: James Gordon Sullivan of Memphis, TN as well as 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hill’s funeral service will be at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 28 from Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon, MS with Dr. Bill Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Oddfellow’s Cemetery in Macon. A period of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Jan. 27 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
