Mrs. Mary Louise Barnett Thorsen, 86, of Macon MS passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Elderly Care in Macon, MS. Graveside services will be held Friday Jan 6, 2012 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Macon at 11:oo a.m. with Rev. Andy Pearson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 10-10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Mrs. Thorsen was born in Macon, MS to the late Jesse Paul and Amanda Moore Barnett on May 5, 1925. She graduated from Macon High School. She was employed with Columbus Air Force Base for approximately ten years. She met her husband , Paul Thorsen, while working at Jackson Lavender Pontiac in Columbus. They moved to St. Petersburg, FL. and she worked as a receptionist for Milton Roy, Inc. She moved back to Macon in 1999. She enjoyed reading and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister, Jeanette Glover and two brothers Tommy Barnett and Wilford Barnett.

Survivors include her sister Dorothy Barnett Burleson of Birmingham, AL; two brothers Jesse Paul Barnett of Meridian and James L. Barnett of Macon, MS.
