Mrs. Pauline Permenter, 87, of Macon, MS , died Wednesday November 16, 2011 at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon, MS.

Pauline Neville Permenter was born on January 26, 1924 in Geiger, Alabama. She had six brothers and four sisters. In 1947 she married the love of her life, Sam Permenter. They were the parents of three children and one stepson. They made their home in Cooksville, MS until her husband’s death in 1976. For the remainder of her life, she was devoted to her family and her church. Her heart was warm. She walked with pride and always had a friendly smile for all. She was always about the business of helping others. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones which include: two daughters; Polly Watkins and husband W.G. of Madison, MS and Sandra P. Wilson and husband Wade of Macon, MS; step son Eddie Permenter and wife Kathy of Starkville, MS.; sister, Beatrice Bryant of Aliceville, AL. ten grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Laura Beth Wilson, Michelle Watkins Veazey and husband Ron, Trey Watkins and wife Betsy, and Lauren Watkins McFatter and husband Daniel, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at Cooksville Methodist Church in Macon, MS at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Bill Duncan and Rev. Glenn Miller officiating. Interment will be held in church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Blair E Batson Children’s Hospital, The Division of Public Affairs, University of MS Medical Center, 2500 North State St., Jackson, MS 39216 or Central Academy, P.O. Box 231, Macon, MS 39341.
