Janet Marie Abrams

Miss Janet M Abrams, 59, died Friday, Sept 9 2011 at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon, MS.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Sept 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Macon, MS at 2:30 p.m.
Interment will follow in Lynn Creek Cemetery near Brooksville, MS. The family requests no flowers, please, memorials may be made to Macon Presbyterian Church, 10501 Hwy 145, Macon, MS 39341.
Janet was born June 25, 1952 in Macon to Marie Cotton Abrams and the late Willie Joe Abrams. She was a graduate of Macon High School and received her master’s degree in accounting from Miss. State University. She moved to California where she lived for 14 years. Janet returned to Macon and worked at Bank First Financial Services in the accounting department. Her most recent occupation was comptroller for the Noxubee County Board of Supervisors. She was a member of the McLeod Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church but attended Macon Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling having traveled internationally several times. She was member of the Macon Junior Auxiliary. She loved doting on her niece and nephew especially after the loss of their mother.
Survivors include her mother, Marie C Abrams of Macon, MS., brother in law, Tony Don Mason, nephew, Stephen Paul Mason and Kayla Mason Fowler(Kevin), and a very special friend, Art Varner, Jr. She is preceded in death by her father and sister B. J. Mason.
