Miss Mary Louise Adams, 94, of Macon, Ms passed away Monday May 23, 2011 at Elderly Care in Macon, MS. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 6 p.m. from Oddfellows Cemetery with Rev. Bob Whiteside officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 162, Macon, MS 39341.
Miss Mary Louise Adams was born in Macon, MS on November 6, 1916 to the late Cornelia Jackson and Charles Vernard Adams. She was a graduate of Macon High School and Mississippi State College for Women. She was a past president of Macon Pilot Club and held the distinction of being named as one of the ten best dressed women in the area by the Pilot Club of Meridian. Miss Adams was a charter member of Macon Junior Auxiliary, as well as being a member of the Dancing Rabbit Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and also of the Town & Country Bridge Club. Miss Adams was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the McCaskill Circle and also taught pre-kindergarten for forty years. She was employed at Crespino’s and Macon Building & Supply as a bookkeeper for many years. In 1986, Miss Adams was honored as the Hall of Fame recipient for the Junior Auxiliary Charity Ball. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charlie Morgan Adams and niece Barbara Hardin Crespino.
Left to mourn her passing are a sister, Dorothy (Dotsy) Adams Hardin, of Macon; a niece, Linda Adams Garner of Jackson, MS; two nephews, Faser Hardin of New York, NY and C. Morgan Adams, Jr. of Macon, MS ; 7 grand nieces and nephews.
