Martha Ann Eaves Barnes

Mrs. Martha Ann Eaves Barnes, 64, of Shuqualak, MS passed away at her residence Friday, December 31, 2010. Her funeral service will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 from Full Gospel Noxubee Christian Center in Macon, MS at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Jimmy Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery near Shuqualak, MS. A visitation will be held Sunday evening, January 2, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cockrell Funeral Home, which is entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Barnes was born on July 4, 1946 in Starkville, MS to the late William Curtis and Annie Bell Maxey Eaves. She attended Starkville Public Schools. She moved to Noxubee County in 1982 and worked at the Shuqualak Glove Plant for many years. She also worked at the T-W-L store and later at City Drug Store, both in Macon, MS. She was a faithful member of Full Gospel Noxubee Christian Center in Macon and enjoyed going to church there. She was a woman of great faith and was an encourager to her friends and family. She dearly loved her family and her grandson.
She is survived by her son: Hank (Brenda) Powell of Louisville, MS and by her sister: Charlotte (Doug) King of Philadelphia, MS. Also left to mourn her passing is her grandson: Dalton Powell; two nephews: William and Bradley King and two step-grand-daughters:
Funeral services will be held Monday Jan 3 2011 at Full Gospel Noxubee Christian Center in Macon at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Butler Cemetery near Shuqualak MS.
